Module Overview

As stated in the Food Stamp Act of 1977, the goal of the SNAP program is to “alleviate hunger and malnutrition by increasing food purchasing power for all eligible households who apply for participation.”

Safeguard against fraudulent use of the Federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) EBT card when you train your employees on the proper procedures for handling SNAP purchases.

This module educates employees on how to comply with all SNAP procedures and regulations, along with listing the foods that are eligible and not eligible for purchase with SNAP benefits.

It is essential for employees to be familiar with the program to ensure compliance with the Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) guidelines against errors and abuse.
